2025: A Busy Year for Prodigy Jon Batiste!
Did you plan to take a little detour to the United States in the fall of 2025? If not, Jazz Radio has a great reason to give you for a vacation with our American cousins: Jon Batiste - discover him again on the web radio Jazz Lounge by AllZic Radio - has just announced a brand new tour in North America, starting on August 27 in Kansas City and ending on October 31 in Washington. And let me tell you, the artist will be busy, especially since the famous pianist is heading to Europe for the entire month of June, including a special concert in Paris on the 24th at Salle Pleyel!
Entitled "Big Money Tour," this tour aims to be a "musical journey in multiple acts connecting the audience to Batiste's roots", where fans of the pianist can expect tracks from his discography, featuring high-flying live performances, as well as new songs and moments of connection with his audience, an important subject for the artist.
"At the heart of my commitment is the representation of the musical culture I come from and the responsibility to advance it. [...] That's jazz. That's blues. That's soul. That's country and gospel – forms born from the meeting of people, real-time improvisation, and the expression of deep emotion. I can't wait to share this energy live every night – that's where music reaches its purest form. [...] These concerts are meant to be soothing, liberating, and unforgettable" - Jon Batiste
In a statement, the musician stated that this brand new tour would mark the beginning of a "new musical era", also leaving plenty of room for improvisation.
"I will always find a space for improvisation in the show. [...] It's at the core of my approach, which is to represent the musical culture I come from. I fully embrace my responsibility to move forward. It's about bringing people together, capturing the present moment, and collective expression" - Jon Batiste
So, ready to take off to the USA?
