Lady Gaga jokes about a possible sequel to her movie

Artists who transition from one artistic discipline to another often face quite severe criticism. But for Lady Gaga (available in the playlist "Pop Queens by Allzic"), things went rather well when she ventured into the experience during the "American Horror Story" series. An experience that opened the door to bigger blockbusters, but while waiting for the next chapter of her film career, the star is currently promoting her brand new album, "Mayhem", which was released on March 7 and for which she is giving numerous interviews.

However, not everything has gone as planned for Lady Gaga lately, particularly in film. While she shone in acclaimed movies like "A Star is Born", her latest role in "Joker: Folie à deux" by Todd Phillips did not achieve the same success. The film failed to convince audiences, and worse still, the performer of "Abracadabra" found herself nominated at the 2025 Razzie Awards in the category of worst actress of the year.

In light of this delicate period, Lady Gaga chose to speak out during her appearance on Saturday Night Live. In her opening monologue, she joked:

"I know what you’re thinking... Maybe I’m here to promote my album Mayhem. But in reality, I’m here to remind you that I’m an extraordinary actress! I choose films that showcase my professional acting talent, like Joker 2. And apparently, the audience loved it."

With a touch of humor, the singer made a promise to her fans:

"I will continue to sing, to act, but... I will not make Joker 3!"

A statement tinged with irony, which may mark a turning point in her film career.
