Lady Gaga Returns with a Very Halloween-esque Video for Tim Burton's Series "Wednesday"
Jeudi 4 Septembre 2025
Since the release of her latest album Mayhem last March, Lady Gaga, which you can listen to on our radio station Pop Queens by AllZic Radio, has been piling up projects and continues to surprise us in this already eventful year of 2025. This week, she returns with a new release in a very unique setting: the airing of the highly anticipated second part of season 2 of the series Wednesday on Netflix. To mark the occasion, the star has unveiled an all-new track accompanied by a video with an aesthetic deliberately inspired by horror films, giving a direct nod to the universe of the series. Titled The Dead Dance, the song surprises with its contrast: behind a dark imagery lies an unexpectedly joyful and catchy tune.
Let’s start by discussing the video aspect. You may have noticed, from the very first sequences that present a very dark, very tortured, somewhat frightening universe, with doll-like faces that seem malevolent: the video was directed by Tim Burton, just like season 2 of the series "Wednesday". It’s no surprise that the worlds resemble each other a bit.
Lady Gaga also appears, of course, in the video. With her zombie look, she perfectly blends into the decor, and we get a taste of the quirky side of the series when she starts dancing to a frenzied pop/electro beat, after an intro that is quite "unsettling".
A very successful video indeed, and we can imagine that regarding the series "Wednesday", from which the clip is inspired, success will also be on the horizon!
