Diddy found not guilty of sex trafficking and conspiracy
Mercredi 2 Juillet 2025
It had been 7 long weeks since Diddy's trial (listen on the Rap US by Allzic radio) had kicked off, and he had been at the center of US rap news. While the producer/rapper refused to testify to conclude the trial a few days ago, the jury had therefore retired to deliberate on whether or not he was guilty of the accusations against him. The verdict was delivered during the day, and the head of Bad Boy Records ultimately avoided conviction for the most serious charges against him.
A victory for the mogul, as among the 3 charges for which he was found not guilty were those for which he faced the heaviest penalties (life imprisonment), notably conspiracy (under the famous RICO law), racketeering, and the charge of sex trafficking. He was, however, found guilty of transporting for the purpose of prostitution, for two separate incidents, and therefore faces ten years for each of these charges.

It is expected that the judge's decision regarding the length of the sentence should not take long to be announced, and we will keep you updated as soon as we know more. In the meantime, it is assumed that Diddy's camp and his legal team must be celebrating the jury's verdict, which dismissed the heaviest charges against him. The announcement thus concludes the most bizarre legal saga in the history of US rap, with 7 weeks of trial, numerous twists, and some quite astonishing testimonies.
If Diddy ultimately ends up serving relatively little time (even though ten years is still quite long), he will now have to deal with all the stories that have been told about him, and his musical empire will remain forever tarnished. We obviously expect many reactions from the US rap game, as stars like 50 Cent have commented on the case numerous times. The coming days promise to be interesting!
