U2: Bono Talks About His Relationship with His Son, Who Is Also a Musician!
Mardi 3 Juin 2025
Bono is definitely making a lot of noise lately! His film "Bono: Stories Of Surrender" was recently praised at the Cannes Film Festival, achieving great success. In the midst of a promotional period, the iconic lead singer of U2 (listen on the Rock FM by Allzic radio) continues to make headlines. Recently, he even dared to criticize the American government and Elon Musk, to which the billionaire responded... by publicly clashing with him on social media, a scene that quickly went viral and delighted the fans, always eager for the Irish icon's bold statements.
Amid this media frenzy, Bono took a moment to appear on the must-watch show Jimmy Kimmel Live!. It was an opportunity to reflect on his introspective film and emotionally discuss his relationship with his son, Elijah Hewson, the lead singer of the band Inhaler.
« He plays in a band called Inhaler – it's amazing », the singer exclaimed.
« He is absolutely not bothered by the fact that his father is a bit famous. »
A touching father-son moment, especially when Bono mentions Inhaler's latest album, "Open Wide" (2025), and a particular song:
« On his latest album, there’s a song called "All I Got Is You". I told him: “Elijah, you know that U2 has a very famous song called "All I Want Is You". Aren't you afraid of comparisons because you’re a young band like U2 at the beginning and you have a three-octave range?” »
Elijah Hewson's response? Simple and straightforward:
« No. »
A confidence that proves the frontman’s son has inherited his father's confidence and talent, while carving out his own path in rock. If U2 has made history, Inhaler might well write its own... with the supportive (and admiring) nod from Bono.
