"No one could have faked all of this. Why would she have worked with me for three and a half years, without ever asking for anything? - Lesley-Ann Jones
So, is it fact or fiction? Answer on September 5!
The life of a rockstar is often quite eventful, and there are plenty of examples to prove it. We thought we knew everything about the life of the legend Freddie Mercury (listen on the Pop Rock by Allzic radio station), the singer of the band Queen. However, a rather crazy revelation has just surfaced in the media: the artist allegedly had a hidden daughter in 1976, born from an extramarital affair with a friend's wife.
This information is part of the teasing for a biography set to be released in September 2025: Love, Freddie, written by rock specialist Lesley-Ann Jones. In this book, we learn that this little girl - whose name remains unknown to the general public - is nicknamed B, is 48 years old, and works in the healthcare field somewhere in Europe. It was she who directly contacted the biographer when she learned that she would be writing a book about her famous father.
According to B, her father was always very present for her, regularly coming to visit her. And while she is well aware that she was born under "special" circumstances and was conceived "by accident", she specifies that Freddie Mercury "was very attentive" to her:
"We had a very close and loving relationship from my birth until his death 15 years later" - B
B also reportedly inherited part of her biological father's fortune following private agreements that were not included in the idol's will, as well as 17 notebooks and diaries of Freddie, in which the singer confided. B has chosen to live away from the spotlight, without seeking to draw attention to her relationship with Freddie Mercury. She inherited fortunes from both her biological father and her adoptive father, following private agreements that were not included in the singer's official will.
If B. is aware of being born under "scandalous" conditions, she maintains that the Queen singer "adored" her and "was very attentive".
"He entrusted to me, his only child and closest relative, his collection of private notebooks, the written account of his private thoughts, memories, and feelings about everything he experienced. [...] Freddie Mercury was and is my father. [...]It was my decision to reveal my existence; I was not forced to do so". - B
As for the author, who has been >wary of this unexpected encounter, she now admits that she trusts B., explaining that one cannot invent such a story.
