2Pac: New Tracks from the Late Star Auctioned Off
Mercredi 12 Mars 2025
2Pac (to be rediscovered in the playlist Rap 90 by Allzic) died in September 1996, but nearly 30 years after his assassination, the aura of the legend remains intact. It must be said that even today, he remains a source of inspiration for most rappers, even those from the new generation. A true icon of rap and hip-hop, everything related to the late star, near or far, is sold for a king's ransom. This week, unreleased tracks from the star have just been auctioned off for an outrageous sum.
Indeed, it seems that we have not yet discovered all the tracks left by 2Pac after his assassination in Las Vegas in September 1996, while he was still at the height of his fame. It is the site Moment In Time that has put up for auction "unknown recordings and tracks by 2Pac".
The description reads:
At the end of 1990 and the beginning of 1991, Tupac composed and recorded an album that was never released, for a group called Jesse and the Kidz. It was never released due to the tragic death of one of the group members. Not only are the lyrics completely unknown, but the recordings of 3 songs from the album with Tupac are also.
The lot also contains handwritten lyrics and a cassette featuring tracks: "Leave Us Kidz Alone", "Streetz Got Ya Babies", and "Bedtime Storiez". According to TMZ, the price is expected to be around $250,000, so if you know any wealthy collectors, don't hesitate. However, this only gives you the right to own the works, not to use them for broadcast, for example.
In any case, this is not the first time an item related to 2Pac has been resold for an extremely high price: nearly 30 years after his death, he continues to fascinate everyone!
